Having spent the bulk of the last twenty-five years in advertising as a creative director, designer and illustrator, Scotty's background is laced with varied and diverse skills and experience in publishing and advertising. Not only is he a writer, but also an accomplished illustrator, designer and photographer.
Scotty is a popular public speaker and stand‐up philosopher.
After attending Pillsbury Baptist Bible College, he entered seminary pursuing his Masters in Divinity (Mdiv) at Valley Baptist Theological Seminary, after which he served as a youth pastor, alongside his advertising career. During his college and seminary studies, he focused on his academic and personal passion for history, theater and art. His religious studies intensified his interest in spirituality, and his research of the Paranormal, unexplained phenomena and ancient history expanded throughout the following years.
Shortly after his seminary years, Scotty began a small comic book publishing effort, Bent Nail Press, writing and illustrationg stories, which were also pitched as animated television series. He co-developed and published the highly successful Ancient Heroes trading card series, and began development on a series of young readers chapter books. He authored and illustrated his first historical teen readers novel, The Rollicking Adventures of Tam O'Hare, which garnered success in the teen and college markets.

Scotty began his delve into paranormal investigation by co-hosting and co-producing Three Horizons Paranormal Radio airing in Oklahoma City.
Scotty's current projects include, Tam O'Hare and the Banshee of BallyGlenMorrow - the second in his series of Tam O'Hare historical novels; and the recently released, The Rise and Fall of the Nephilim, published by New Page Books. The book explores biblical, apochryphal and ancient Mesopotamian accounts of extraterrestrial and non-human interference and intervention in humanity's ancient past.
And coming February 2013, the following the trail of the Nephilim is The Secret History of the Reptilians.

Scotty is the co-founder and Publisher of INTREPID Magazine, a publication with an eclectic focus on Science, Politcs, Culture, Ancient Civilizations, UFOs & Aliens, Conspiracies and Unexplained Phenomena. He is the former Editor-In-Chief of TAPS ParaMagazine, the offical publication of SyFy's Ghost Hunters.
Scotty currently lives with his family in rural Wisconsin, not far from the Minneapolis/Saint Paul metro area, where he grew up and lived most of his life.
