The light colored board is made from limestone outside harvested outside the Quarries of Pharaoh Hatshepsut near the Valley of the Kings, while the dark boards are made from local black basalt quarried in Luxor, Egypt. $175 These boards make a unique tool for practice, coming from the Land of "gods, demigods and spirits of the dead," the foundations of ancient hermeticism. If you are not into practical usage, they make a wonderful conversation piece. Despite all the controversy over "spirit boards," they are simply "tools," and its use of them is wholly dependent upon your personal belief or intention. The boards measure 13.5" x 10" and come with a medium-sized scarab. Shipping can be lengthy, as they are coming from Egypt, so expect a 4-6 week wait on this very unique item.
